DeepSight Technology was founded in 2019 by Nader Sadrzadeh, Lan Yang, and Anand Chandrasekher with the vision to revolutionize medical imaging using proprietary sensing technology. With offices in the San Francisco Bay Area and Clayton, Missouri, DeepSight Technology aims to vastly extend the range of diagnostic medical ultrasound to benefit public health and well-being.

Nader Sadrzadeh
FOUNDER & CEO
With greater than 20 years of experience in commercializing technology and bringing innovative products to market, Nader Sadrzadeh brings the vision, leadership and know-how needed to build high-performing teams, develop products, and grow new lines of business. Together with DeepSight co-founders, Professor Lan Yang, and Anand Chandrasekher, they conceived the use of medical ultrasound for Dr. Yang’s superior sensor technology.
Prior to forming DeepSight in 2019, Nader served as Sr. Vice President of ROHM Semiconductor, a manufacturer of integrated circuits, semiconductors, and electronic components. In addition to his role at ROHM, between 2013 and 2019, he was President and CEO of Kionix, a leading MEMS sensor company, specializing in the design and manufacturing of medical, automotive, and consumer sensor devices. Prior to ROHM, Nader was Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Oki Semiconductor and held leadership positions in the Management Consulting practice at Arthur Andersen. Nader holds his MBA and BS from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Dr. Lan Yang, PhD
FOUNDER & CTO
Professor Lan Yang is the Edwin H. and Florence G. Skinner professor in the Department of Electrical and Systems Engineering at Washington University, St. Louis. She received her PhD. in applied physics from Caltech in 2005. She founded the nano/microphotonics lab at Washington University, has over fifteen years of experience in high-quality photonic whispering-gallery-mode (WGM) and has published over 110 technical papers in peer-reviewed journals, including Science and Nature.
She received NSF CAREER Award in 2010 for her work on single nanoparticle detection and sizing using an on-chip optical resonator. She is also the recipient of the 2010 Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE). She is the editor-in-chief of Photonics Research. She is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the American Physical Society(APS), the Optical Society (OSA), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Dr. John Chong, PhD
COO & HEAD OF ENGINEERING
John M. Chong, Ph.D. is a seasoned deep tech innovator with over 25 years of experience translating foundational technologies from lab research to commercial success. He holds a Ph.D. in Micro-Electrical Mechanical Systems (MEMS) from Cornell University and has held leadership roles spanning engineering, product strategy, business development, operations, and executive management at multiple startups. John has been instrumental in scaling disruptive technologies across semiconductors, sensors, optics, IoT, and medical devices—most recently as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Engineering at DeepSight Technology, where he is helping build a transformative imaging and interventional medicine platform.
A named inventor on numerous patents and recognized as one of the “Top 50 People in Sensor Technology,” John brings a rare combination of technical depth, commercialization expertise, and strategic leadership to accelerating breakthrough medical innovations.

Dr. Diku Mandavia, MD
CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER
Dr. Diku Mandavia is a prominent medical device innovator and a recognized pioneer in point-of-care ultrasound. He has held key leadership roles across the medical technology industry, successfully driving the commercialization of groundbreaking diagnostic tools.
Dr. Mandavia served as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at Sonosite Inc., where he was pivotal in establishing point-of-care ultrasound as a transformative imaging category; now a multi-billion dollar global market. He later then held the same role within larger FUJIFILM Healthcare after their acquisition of Sonosite. He was CMO at Ceribell and Brainscope where he advanced the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for neuro-diagnostics at the bedside. He also served on the board of DiA Imaging, a leader in ultrasound AI, which was later acquired by Philips Healthcare.
An accomplished speaker and author, Dr. Mandavia earned his medical degree from Memorial University in Canada, completed residency training at LAC+USC Medical Center, and is a graduate of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Program. He has delivered over 200 lectures and has more than 100 publications. He is also Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine (voluntary) at the University of Southern California and attending staff physician at Los Angeles General Medical Center.

Dr. Bradford Wood, MD, FSIR
VP STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS
Dr. Brad Wood, MD, FSIR is VP of Strategic Partnerships. Prior to joining DeepSight, Brad was Chief of IR at the NIH Clinical Center, Adjunct Prof BME at the Univ MD, Acting Medical Director of NIBIB Center for Biomedical Engineering Technology Acceleration, & founding Director of the NIH Center for Interventional Oncology -a diverse multi-disciplinary team that develops and translates devices, software, and navigation approaches for cancer patients via public-private-academic partnerships to address unmet clinical needs. His teams have been responsible for multiple “1st in human” applications: perc kidney / adrenal cancer ablation, ultrasound-based fusion biopsy and ablation, prostate fusion interventions totally outside of the rectum, ablation or embolization with checkpoint inhibition for immunomodulation in HCC, imageable drug eluting beads for DEB-TACE, & certain AI and smartphone applications in IR.
He has trained hundreds of fellows and students at America’s Research Hospital at NIH. Continuously funded for decades. His team’s products include multiple commercialized inventions, > 55 patents, > 700 publications, ~50,000 citations, H-index 114, including NEJM, JAMA, & Nature Medicine. All success is due to translational multi-disciplinary TEAM Science and a solid team of friends and collaborators. All for one, one for all.

Dr. Alyssa Abo, MD, MBA
VP CLINICAL INNOVATION
Dr. Alyssa Abo is a pioneering physician executive with over 20 years of experience in MedTech and digital health, recognized for integrating advanced technologies to transform clinical medicine. She pushes the boundaries of innovation by leveraging her medical, technological, and business background to deliver scalable, impactful solutions that drive patient-centered care, improve outcomes, and elevate healthcare globally. Dr. Abo’s thought leadership in medical imaging, artificial intelligence, real-world data applications, and pediatric technologies has set new standards across the healthcare ecosystem. Her leadership has been instrumental in shaping industry-wide policies adopted by organizations such as the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Institute for Ultrasound in Medicine.
Dr. Abo holds degrees in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, an MD from the American Program at Tel Aviv University, and an MBA from George Washington University, with advanced clinical training at Yale-New Haven and Boston Children’s Hospitals.

Catherine Maresh, JD

Catherine Maresh excels at the intersection of innovation and business. Catherine brings decades of international and domestic legal and corporate experience including intellectual property and business strategy, collaborations, licensing, regulatory, and compliance. As a valued business partner from inception through commercialization, she has helped curate strategy and provide legal guidance across all stages of the value lifecycle on a global basis. Prior to joining DeepSight in 2022, Catherine was an IP and innovation strategist, commercialization partner, and business integrator at Immersion Corporation and Medtronic. She began her career at Haugen Law firm, a boutique IP law firm in Minneapolis. Recognized in IAM Strategy 300: The World’s Leading IP Strategists 2019 – 2023, she is a licensed attorney in California and Minnesota and a registered U.S. Patent Attorney. She received her B.S.M.E from Marquette University and JD from William Michell.

Dr. Janet Goldenstein, PhD

Janet Goldenstein is a technology leader with 20+ years of experience in medical device innovation, product development, and life-cycle management of FDA-regulated products. She has contributed to groundbreaking solutions for industry leaders such as GE Healthcare and Johnson & Johnson, as well as multiple startups. Janet has built and scaled high-performing software teams, architected FDA-compliant systems, and guided products from concept to regulatory clearance. She holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from UC Berkeley/UC San Francisco and a Management of Technology certificate from the Haas School of Business.

Michael Hazarian
VP ULTRASOUND
Michael Hazarian serves as the Vice President of Ultrasound at DeepSight Technology, where he propels the development of pioneering ultrasound platforms that redefine diagnostic imaging. Since joining the leadership team in September 2022, he has led the ultrasound engineering and product strategy team, overseeing breakthrough innovations that combine performance, precision, and accessibility.
With a rich foundation in medical device engineering, Mike previously held pivotal roles across the industry: he spearheaded the creation of an integrated Intra-Cardiac Echocardiography (ICE) catheter at Millipede, Inc.; served as a Principal Engineer at ACIST Medical Systems; held the Chief Technology Officer position at Rx Productions; and began his career as a Product Engineering Manager at Acuson. He also contributes to DeepSight’s intellectual leadership, co-inventing patented ultrasound sensing technologies. Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Diana Maichin
CFO
Diana Maichin is an entrepreneurial financier and operator with over 20 years of experience in biotech, diagnostics, and health-tech. She has incubated five companies that collectively raised several hundred million dollars in venture capital financing and served as co-founding COO of three. Over the course of her career, Diana has held more than a dozen Fractional COO, CFO, and CBO positions with Seed, Series A, and Series B stage companies, where she has focused on company formation, fundraising, business strategy, operations, and financial management. She has also served as both a Board Director and Board Observer across multiple organizations.
Diana is a member of the Dean’s Engineering Leadership Council at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, advising the School of Engineering on business issues at the intersection of technology and commercialization.
Previously, Diana was a Director on the New Business Creation team at GE Ventures, where she was instrumental in the formation of NuVera Medical (acquired by Biosense Webster and Johnson & Johnson Medical Device Companies), Drawbridge Health (acquired by Thorne Research), and Vineti (partnered with Johnson & Johnson). Earlier in her career, Diana was the first direct report to the CFO of Codexis (NASDAQ: CDXS) shortly after its IPO, contributing to the company’s financial strategy and operations during a critical growth phase. She also gained operational experience on the factory floor at Genentech and Rohm and Haas (now Dow Chemical Company), where she was a chemical and process engineer.
Diana earned her B.S. in Chemical Engineering, summa cum laude, from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and her MBA from Harvard Business School.

Steve Sapot is a results-driven commercial leader with 15+ years of extensive executive-level experience in the medical device, AI, and imaging spaces. He's a specialist in devising effective go-to-market strategies, implementing impactful solutions, cultivating strong industry relationships, and driving revenue growth for both startups and large, publicly traded organizations.
Steve's strategic leadership has consistently delivered high-impact business results, most notably when he skyrocketed Faxitron's revenue from $10M to $30M over two years, an achievement that culminated in an $85M acquisition by Hologic, where he then served as their National Sales Director. Following that, Steve led Perimeter Medical Imaging, AI (a MedTech company), directing a successful market launch and company infrastructure overhaul as they transitioned from their engineering phase to bringing their innovative breast cancer technology to market.
Now, he will spearhead DeepSight's commercial strategy, driving market adoption, partnerships, and customer engagement for the company's cutting-edge ultrasound solutions.

Todd Miller drives the systems engineering vision at DeepSight Technology, shaping the future of medical imaging through advanced sensor systems and innovative design. With over 25 years of experience spanning microsystem development, multidisciplinary R&D, and technology leadership, he excels at transforming complex engineering challenges into breakthrough clinical solutions. Before joining DeepSight, Todd led high-impact initiatives at GE Research, Freescale Semiconductor, and Motorola. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University.

His expertise helps translate DeepSight’s vision into advanced, real-time imaging solutions that empower safer and more precise interventions.

Dr. Jennifer Young, MD
INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGIST, ADVISOR
Jennifer Young, MD grew up in Canada, and studied Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences at McMaster University. She spent a year abroad doing device development in the analytical chemistry dept. at Osaka University, Japan, then travelled to the country of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and got an MD degree at Trinity School of Medicine. Once graduated, she did a surgery internship at Detroit Receiving hospital, followed by Radiology residency at MetroHealth, Ohio, and Interventional Radiology Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. She worked as a solo interventionist in an underserved, rural hospital in Indiana, USA and is currently Director of Interventional Radiology at BayCare Healthcare in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
